The academy of creative training - Drama School Auditioning Now
We run on a non profit making basis so we can offer quality actor training at affordable rates. Our ethos is to provide access to professional Drama Training and acting classes for talented individuals who have been unable to follow traditional routes into the acting profession through lack of academic qualifications, financial restrictions or family responsibilities. Courses run during the evenings and weekends so that students can earn a living or maintain family commitments. Students must be 18+ to apply to the Diploma in Acting and 16+ for the Foundation in Acting and all other adult courses. There is no upper age limit. |
The ACT team is comprised of highly experienced, passionate and dedicated actors and directors. They bring their own current professional practice into the classroom, relish the opportunity to nurture new talent and are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inspiring creative environment. The academy of creative training - short courses, Kids Theatre, studio hire & more
AKT Act Kids Theatre - Saturday classes in Drama and Acting for children and young people aged 8 to 17. All classes taught by our enthusiastic and industry experienced tutors who are all CRB checked. Classes take place in our professionally equipped studio spaces. See AKT Studio Hire - A friendly and well equipped rehearsal space for hire in central Brighton (Kemptown) & Hove (Church Road). Our spaces are suitable for a range of Dance and Drama activities as well as for meetings, teaching and training, Yoga, martial arts and youth groups. We can also offer desk or office space for artists or art based companies. The best and the brightest of Brighton's new acting talentOur 2010 graduates have already acquired substantial stage and film experience and are an extremely diverse and highly castable group in terms of age, type and ethnicity. The academy positively encourages students who have had considerable life experience, having already pursued other careers and life ambitions. Having rigorously applied themselves to their actor training; these graduate actors now bring humanity, depth and understanding to their performances. We guarantee you an entertaining event with actors of potential and promise.

AKT Youth WinAKT Youth Theatre have won 1st Place in 'Group Acted Scene' at this year's Springboard Brighton and Hove Youth Performing Arts Festival held at the Old Market in Hove. The group won with an extract from Fugee by Abi Morgan which they are performing in its entirety back at the Old Market on May 2nd & 3rd as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival 2010. |
