diploma in acting

(2 years — 3 terms per year, totalling 36 teaching weeks each year)

Over 1,100 hours of practical, in-person taught training across two years, during evenings and weekends.

£500 per month for 24 months
Total course fee: £12,000—equivalent to around £115 a week, averaged across the full two years.

A £250 deposit secures your place and is deducted from your first monthly payment.

Trinity examination fees are additional (£400 in 2026). Students should also budget for scripts and costume hire.


foundation in acting

(1 year — 3 terms, totalling 36 teaching weeks)

9.5 hours of practical, in-person taught training each week during term time, on Sundays and Monday evenings.

£250 per month for 11 months, from August to June
Total course fee: £2,750—equivalent to around £53 a week, averaged across the full year.

A £100 deposit secures your place and is deducted from your first monthly payment. Students should also budget for scripts and costume hire.


two week acting workshop

(2 weeks — Monday to Thursday, 7–10pm)

Eight evenings of practical acting, voice and movement training, with the option of a one-to-one feedback session afterwards.

Course fee: £200
£100 deposit, with the remaining £100 payable before the workshop begins.


act studio - short courses & classes

Our daytime classes and courses all run at £10 per taught hour, so the total depends on how long the class is and how many weeks it runs for.

Beginners / Intermediate / Advanced

4 week block of 2 hrs is £80.00 (Concession £70.00)
6 week block of 1.5hrs is £90.00 (Concession £78.75)
6 week block of 2hrs is £120.00  (Concession £105.00)

Drop In sessions are £15 (Cons £13.25) for a 1.5hr class and £20 (Cons £17.50) for a 2hr class (where available).

ACT 50+ classes are offered at a special community rate of £9 per teaching hour, helping to keep regular daytime acting affordable and accessible.

6 week block of 1.5hrs is £81 or £13.50 per session
6 week block of 2hrs is £108 or £18 per session


playwriting

Develop your own play through practical tuition and individual feedback, with ongoing email support, workshop sessions with actors and a public staged reading at The Lantern Theatre.

Course fee: £495
Deposit: £125.


AKT: ACT Kids Theatre

(3 terms per year totalling 36 teaching weeks)

Juniors: ages 7–11

Saturdays, 10.30am–12.00pm
£37.20 per month

Seniors: ages 12+

Saturdays, 12.30pm–3.30pm
£60 per month

ACT Youth Theatre: ages 14+

Saturdays, 12.30pm–3.30pm
£59.22 per month

Fees are paid by monthly subscription through ClassForKids. The annual cost is spread evenly across 12 monthly payments, including the school holidays. The monthly payment does not relate to the number of classes taking place in a particular calendar month.

Enrolment is not a weekly or drop-in arrangement, and refunds are not given for missed classes. Full payment and cancellation terms are provided when booking through ClassForKids.

Audition Coaching and individually tailored tuition - prices start at £25.00 per hour (student discounts available).
